VOLUNTEERING

Point Requirements

This season, each family will need to earn 13 points. Each volunteer shift is worth a specific number of points:

1-Point Jobs Scribe

Timer
Lead Timer

2-Point Jobs Ready Bench

Concessions
Equipment

3-Point Jobs Grill Cook

Groundskeeper (full day shift)

Job Sign-Up

Job sign-ups will OPEN each week on Sundays at 8pm and close Thursday at 8pm for that Saturday’s meet.

No Need to Stress About Points - Here’s Why:

📊 There Will Be Enough Jobs for Everyone: The system is designed so each family has the opportunity to fulfill their obligation.

It’s All a Math Game: We divide the total number of required jobs by the number of registered families to determine point requirements.

Jobs Are Created Based on Actual Need: Volunteer roles are determined by what’s required to run a swim meet safely and efficiently—not arbitrarily. This year, our team has three home meets, which is an increase from the past few years when we had two home meets.

🔄 Flexibility May Be Required: You might not get your preferred role or shift every time, and you may need to spread out your volunteer time.

You Might Not Knock It Out Early: It’s possible you won’t be able to complete all your points in the first few meets, you might not work at all the first few meets—but opportunities will keep coming. The divisionals meet on June 14 is open to ALL swimmers and there are volunteer jobs we must fulfill at this meet.

📈 We Often End Up with Extra Jobs: In fact, we frequently have more jobs available than we estimated, especially as the season wraps up. This is where raffle entries come for extra those extra helpers!

🙌 We’re Here to Help: If you have questions about how to earn your points, just reach out at [email protected]
