Hey Marlins, I am officially calling this the “Soggy Season!” Thank you for your patience and support as we’ve navigated the predictably unpredictable weather this season!

NEXT UP- For our final team swim meet, we are competing at Divisionals next weekend! Divisionals is for EVERY swimmer and is our version of a playoff meet, where all of the teams in our division come together to compete at one meet. It’s one of the most exciting meets of the season!

We’ve also heard a rumor about the coaches doing a dance… 👀 You’ll have to show up to find out if it’s true!

Divisionals Declarations: Declarations will be due Monday 6/8 at 6:00 PM, which is earlier than our usual deadline. Registration is open on Swimtopia as usual. Also please sign up for a work shift if you are able- we are offering 5 extra raffle ticket entries for any shift above your minimum requirement for the season. The raffle drawing will take place at our end of season Awards Night with lots of prizes to include a free swimmer for next season, gift cards, Marlins merch, and much more!

A few important things to know about Divisionals:

• Because set up is inside, there are no age group tents, so parents will need to write event numbers on their swimmer using a Sharpie. Our team will have an area reserved in the cafeteria so that we can try to set up together.
• Swimmers will report to the ready bench based on announcements made over the loudspeaker throughout the meet. This is another reason it is good to sit near other Marlin families!
• The meet is indoors at Kingwood High School, so plan on bringing jackets, blankets, and multiple towels. It can get chilly inside.

If your swimmer is trying to qualify for an Invitational (Ponderosa or Trinity), Divisionals this their final opportunity to do so. Please use the “Notes to Coach” section when declaring to let us know:

1. That your swimmer is attempting to qualify, and
2. Which invitational meet and event(s) they are trying to qualify for

Pep Rally: Instead of practice this Friday, June 12th, we will be having a Divisionals Pep Rally – stay tuned for details!
