Qualifying Caps- Clarification
We have started an award process for those who qualify for invitational (Optional Qualifying) meets. You will see swimmers being awarded SILVER QUALIFIER CAPS throughout the season as they qualify for invitationals in accordance with the parent handbook. As our mid-season invitational has a varying set of guidelines outside the norm of NWAL meets it is important that we maintain a consistent point of what is a qualifying time for the team award.

OPTIONAL QUALIFYING MEETS:
There are several optional meets both during and after the regular swim season: Summer Champs, Pentathlon, All-Star, and Ponderosa. Meet entries are determined by qualifying times, which will be posted during the season. Once a Ponderosa time is achieved, then the swimmer is no longer qualified for All-Star in that event. All optional meets require an entry fee for each individual event. Swimmers will be responsible for paying individual fees. Time trial times cannot be used to qualify for optional meets.
We are sorry for any confusion, but this has been the standard for many years on the Marlins. We are not denying the swimmers to swim in the meet itself as we do not set the individual meet requirements. Good luck to all the swimmers in achieving a qualifying time during a dual meet.
