As many of the Marlin family already know on Saturday, July 6, Coach Madi had an untimely death.  As her death shocked her family as well as the Marlin family, the circumstances surrounding her death are even more devastating.  As we will most likely never know exactly what happened, it is unfair to speculate as to the facts.  What we do know is that Coach Madi made a poor decision and that decision resulted in her death.  However, one decision does not define a person and we will remember Coach Madi for who she was on the pool deck and how she encouraged our children to swim their best.  If you are choosing to speak with your children about the circumstances surrounding her death we as a board are using this as an education opportunity with ours.  If you would like to speak with someone or are looking for answers on how to approach the topic with your children, please feel free to email the Marlin Board.
